Event Details

KQED is proud to celebrate Black History month with a celebration of two Local Heroes doing exceptional work in the community. This will be followed by a free film screening of A Lovely Day and youth performances.

A Lovely Day is a feature-length film documenting the trials, tribulations, and achievements of a group of Oakland youth. The young musicians embark on a six-month journey to find their voice, their talent, and their path to healing within Hip Hop culture.

Free, but an RSVP is required.
