Smithsonian Magazine’s annual free day at Bay Area museums

Smithsonian Magazine’s 10th annual Museum Day takes place Saturday, September 27, 2014 as participating museums and cultural institutions nationwide will open their doors free of charge to all visitors who register for free Museum Day tickets starting on August 1, 2014.

San Francisco highlights include the de Young Museum, Legion of Honor and Cartoon Art Museum as well as many others throughout the Bay Area.

The Museum Day ticket provides free admission to one person, plus a guest.

* A ticket will gain entry in only one museum and only at participating museums
* Only an official Museum Day ticket is eligible for free entry.
