Cara Tramontano hosts the free Monday Happy Hour Comedy on the 2nd Monday of every month at Cafe Royale in the Trendynob. March 14th features one of our favorite local comedian, W. Kamau Bell (Punchline, Montreal Comedy Festival) and whole host of comedians to will make you fold a buck or two to put in the tip jar.

Chris ThayerW. Kamau Bell has appeared on HBO Canada and told the first Barack Obama joke on Comedy Central, which is now listed in their “100 Best Obama Moments.” Kamau has performed in the Montreal Comedy Festival and Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival, and is a member of the Laughter Against the Machine tour. His one-man show “W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About an Hour” was featured at the 2009 NY Intl Fringe Festival.
Sammy Obeid was a finalist in the 2010 SF International Comedy Competition, won the 2008 San Jose Improv comedy competition, 2008 Rooster T. Feathers comedy competition, placed 2nd in the Wild 94.9’s Best Comic Standing Competition and is a featured performer on the Coexist? Comedy Tour. He is a regular headliner at the Purple Onion & Tommy Ts, and performs at colleges and clubs including the Hollywood Improv, Hollywood Comedy Store (main room), SF Punchline, and the San Jose Improv.
Natasha Muse won the 2010 Battle of the Bay comedy competition, and will soon be the second-funniest transsexual you know. She produces and hosts “A Funny Night for Comedy” at the Actor’s Theatre and is a performer at the Victoria Theatre, Purple Onion, Wharf Room Comedy, Harvey’s, and Asia SF as “Ginger.”
Chris Thayer is a San Francisco-based stand-up comic; creator and host of the “NERVES” stand-up series; co-founder of comedy variety show “Funny Party”; and a frequent performer at Hemlock Tavern’s “Club Chuckles”. He has appeared in SF Sketchfest and at such venues as Punchline Comedy Club, The Purple Onion, The Steve Allen Theater (L.A.), & Ochi’s Lounge (N.Y.C.)
