Bike To Work Day 2015
It’s the 21st annual Bike to Work Day so grab your bike and join tens of thousands of people pedaling to the office on Thursday, May 14, 2015.
The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition hosts a robust Bike to Work Day event with 22 Energizer Stations with snacks and bike doctors, plus urban bike safety classes and workshops, rides and events leading up to the event to celebrate biking in San Francisco.

Bike to Work Day 2015 | East Bay
- Energizer Stations: Every Energizer Station will be giving away a special canvas tote with Clif Bars, stickers, and more snacks to fuel your commute.
- Pop-Up Bikeways: Stop by one of the four protected bikeway pop-up demos being organized in Fremont, Castro Valley, Berkeley and Walnut Creek.
- Bike Happy Hour Party: After your commute, don’t forget to celebrate at one of the many Bike Happy Hours happening around the East Bay
Roll out for the free afterparties for Bike to Work Day happening all over the East Bay to listen to music, play some games, and raise a glass to your fellow bicyclists on May 14, 2015.
Bike East Bay has collaborated with new partners to bring Bike Happy Hours to Berkeley, Oakland, Alameda and Concord. These fun community events are great for all ages, so come blow off some steam with games, raffles, live music and more.

2015 Bike to Work Day Happy Hour Parties
- Berkeley (near Ashby BART) | 5:30-8:30 pm
By the new Berkeley Sports Basement – Derby Street between Milvia and Shattuck
This will be the biggest of the Bike Happy Hour parties. New Belgium will be bringing tasty craft beer and a hangout zone, there will be food trucks, music, games, discounts and beer. Bike East Bay will present the 2015 Bike Commuter of the Year award and the mayor of Copenhagen will also be stopping by, so come by to learn what Copenhagen has to tell us about how to make Berkeley an even better place to bike. To top off the cake; the incredible Planet Booty and DJ Olga T will be returning to Bike Happy Hour for some fantastic live music. Food trucks will also be in attendance: Go Streatery, Cassave Taqueria and Pelican Poboys- Concord | 5:30- 8 pm
Todos Santos Plaza
Bike Concord is organizing this event, which will be held in a closed down section of Salvio Street adjacent to the farmer’s market. Highlights include live music from Brave City, happy hours at EJ Phair and the Hop Grenade, a bike safety tips tent, a raffle by Wheel Kids, and helmet safety info from the Snell Foundation. The Half Orange, Fruitvale BART station plaza
Walk Oakland Bike Oakland (WOBO) welcomes bike commuters to get happy with them at this local gem, which serves locally-produced beer, great wine and meals. The Half Orange owners, Jay and Katie, will be donating a portion of proceeds to WOBO. Visit WOBO’s website for more info.- Downtown Oakland | 5-7 pm
Uptown Bike Station, 19th and Broadway
The brand new Bike Station is celebrating their first Bike to Work Day with a party – swing by for beer, wine, or soda and meet the friendly folks who provide free, safe bike parking in Oakland.- Alameda | 5-7 pm
Speiskammer Restaurant, 2424 Lincoln Ave
This happy hour is hosted by the local group Bike Walk Alameda. Come by this delightful German restaurant and enjoy delicious draft beer and the company of the Alameda biking community.
