Capture the Flag in Golden Gate Heights Park | Inner Sunset

You may be the stealth warrior, slinking through tall grass and zipping from tree to tree, or you may be the daffy dodger, depending on nimble toes and pluck to evade capture, but either way you are on your way to seizing your opponents’ flag and sprinting for the borderline.

They are a friendly gang, and you’ll know everyone’s name within ten minutes of “Game on!” If you’ve never played capture the flag, or if the last time you freed a gang of prisoners was in fifth grade, no matter. They review the rules and tactics before choosing up sides. Once we’re tired, we’ll head to a nearby place for food and drink.

Meet at the highest point of Golden Gate Heights Park (not Golden Gate Park), near the intersection of Twelfth Avenue and Cragmont Avenue, in San Francisco.
