Watch Ken Joy’s critically acclaimed documentary 60-min-long Disaster by the Bay: The Great San Francisco Earthquake and Fire of 1906.
There will also be a fascinating lecture given by David Kiehn, film historian, as he discusses his remarkable discovery regarding the famous and hauntingly surreal silent film “A Trip Down Market Street.”
After Mr. Kiehn’s discussion, this film will be shown, accompanied by pianist Bruce Loeb. For dramatic contrast, they’ll show another silent film that graphically recorded the earthquake’s devastating aftermath; again, accompanied by Mr. Loeb.
