SF Sprints is a track cycling race coming to the Polo Fields in Golden Gate Park on June 20, 2015.
Built in 1906 as a cycling stadium, the Polo Fields have lost much of their historic roots in the past decades. SF Sprints is an event that embraces the site’s past and reawakens the spectator sport of track cycling for a new, modern generation.
Races begin at 1 pm on June 20th with individual timed 200m sprints, followed by head to head match sprints until a winner is decided. The race is free to watch.
Racer information: Race registration is open online. Advanced tickets are $8 per rider, with additional last minute registration taking place on the 20th at noon for $10 per racer. This event is a track bike/fixed gear only event, but is open to all ages, sexes and skill levels. Racers receive a free spoke card and sticker with registration. Winner takes home prizes from our sponsors.
