Event Details

An heir to John Cassavetes, Rob Nilsson is a Cannes and Sundance winner. The library will be screening his films for the whole month of August.

Stroke: A 55 year old Beat poet has a stroke, bed-ridden in his room in Tenderloin district of San Francisco. An older African American man discovers the ailing poet and by bending hotel rules, tries to help the poet regain his speech. A 35 year old Polish waitress, an ex-model, is added to the mix. (2000, 1hr, 35min)
