Stanford Summer Jazz Series: Le Jazz Hot Quartet

Local music fans are gearing up for warm weather and smooth sounds with the arrival of Stanford Shopping Center’s Summer Jazz Series. Performing in the 25th year of the popular, free jazz series are artists such as Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers, Times 4 and Le Jazz Hot Quartet.

The ten-week concert series is hosted by Stanford Shopping Center and produced by SFJAZZ, a leading non-profit jazz organization on the West Coast .

Le Jazz Hot Quartet – August 18

Join guitar virtuoso Paul Mehling’s Le Jazz Hot Quartet of the Hot Club of San Francisco for a celebration of love songs and driving gypsy jazz made famous during the 1920s and ’30s by Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli, and their legendary Quintette du Hot Club de France. Magical guitar and fiddle solos take you on a ride down the Seine as Le Jazz Hot’s mix of sweet and sultry songs echo the historic “City of Light.”
