Velocity Circus at the de Young | Golden Gate Park

With a prolific body of work from the iconic artist Picasso as a fount of inspiration, Gregangelo & Velocity Circus apply their unique perspective to reframe the essence of their art in a spectacular and visceral experience for the de Young audience. Acrobats, contortionists, and vibrant characters will dance, balance on each other, and play through the transcendent arias of contemporary masterpieces. Defying preconceived notions about human limitations, Gregangelo & Velocity Circus share wonderment that is both point-blank and expansive. Performance is in Wisley Court at 6:30pm.

Hands-on art making for the entire family is offered every Friday Night. Meet our museum artists and create your own piece of art to take home.

About Friday Nights at the De Young
Friday Nights at the de Young offers a variety of free interdisciplinary arts programs, including live music, poetry, films, dance, art activities and lectures in the public spaces of the museum.

Please note that admission to the museum’s galleries is not free on Friday nights, but instead all of the events listed above take place in the museum’s “free zone” right by the entrance and are free and open the public and do not require tickets.
