All Out 2017: REI’s Day of 30+ Free Outdoor Classes

To kick off a year dedicated to getting outside every day, beginning on Saturday, January 28, 2017 REI is offering hundreds of free outdoor events and REI Outdoor School classes.

With more than 30 events in the Bay Area (and 350+ total events planned across the country) REI is trying to help people reach their outdoor goals and go All Out for 2017.

Bay Area FREE Classes/Events Highlights:

China Camp State Park, Marin County: Village Beach

  • ALL OUT Beach Party at China Camp State Park: Saturday, January 28, 1:30 PM  –  3:30 PM
    • Join us for a special beach party to try out kayaking, stand up paddleboarding. Free mini lessons on Backpacking and hiking gear will also take place.
    • Check out more classes happening on the same day and place.

Castle Rock State Park, Saratoga – Main Parking Lot

  • ALL OUT Trail head Party at Castle Rock State Park: Saturday, January 28, 9:00 AM  –  1:00 PM
    • Join us for a special trail head party to learn about backpacking gear, footwear, or go on a hike on the Bay Area Ridge Trail. Registration for Hike.
    • Check out climbing classes happening on the same day and place.
