SF’s Yerba Buena Gardens Festival 2025
The 2025 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival hosts a full lineup of free outdoor music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, and children’s programs. The Festival opens on Saturday, May 10, 2025 with La Santa Cecilia to kick off its 25th Anniversary Season.
With her multi-octave range and soul-drenched sound, Berkeley-raised vocalist Destani Wolf is one of the most exciting singers to emerge from the 1990s Bay Area scene. Mentored by masters such as percussionist John Santos and Oakland Blues/Funk Guitarist Johnny Talbot, she recorded with Machete Ensemble, O-maya and The Pharcyde.
Moving down to Los Angeles a decade ago opened up numerous doors for her, like collaborating with Shuggie Otis, Alice Russell, Seu Jorge, Quantic, Zap Mama and Talib Kweli. Since moving back to Berkeley in 2015 she’s been slowly reintroducing herself with her award-winning EP Peek Away, a project that makes a compelling case for Wolf’s evolving talent as a songwriter.
