Event Details

A stellar line-up of poets and musicians stand up for the earth, including Robert Hass,  Jane Hirshfield, D.A. Powell,  Camille T. Dungy, Andrew Schelling, and many more. There will be an Open Mic, Arthur Okamura’s waterflow banners, River Village literary and environmental exhibits, face painting and other activities.

Join poets and environmentalists for a walk from the UC campus through downtown Berkeley, tracing the route of Strawberry Creek as it tunnels beneath the city to the site of the festival. Along the way, there will be poetry, commentary, and updates on restoring the creek.
