Trader Joe’s 50th Anniversary Celebration
Trader Joe’s is marking its 50th anniversary milestone by saying thank you to its customers with in-store customer celebrations on Saturday, August 19th and Sunday, August 20, 2017.
Festivities will include: special product tastings, giveaways, and 50¢ deals that may vary by store such as 50¢ avocados, 50¢ spaghetti, etc…
A limited-edition 50th Anniversary reusable bag will also be offered to customers for only 50¢. Trader Joe’s introduced its first reusable bag to customers 40 years ago.
The first Trader Joe’s store opened on August 25, 1967 in Pasadena, California, and still remains in operation today. Trader Joe’s has since grown to 467 stores in 41 states and D.C. – with six stores in San Francisco including the new “Pacific Place” downtown SF location at 4th Street near Market underneath Old Navy.
