Join them when author Jasmin Darznik, author of the New York Times bestselling book The Good Daughter, reads and discusses her new novel Song of a Captive Bird. This story is based on the life of Iran’s most iconic and controversial female poet Forough Farrokhzad. She was a revolutionary, Sylvia Plath like figure who gave Iranian women permission to be bold, angry and rapturous.
