This weekend in San Francisco features an outdoor cinema crawl, concert and BBQ, as well as an independent publishing expo,  plush Egyptian exhibitions fit for a king and, of course, some Labor Day celebrations to start your week off right.

Friday, September 2

Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema Crawl
Join the Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema film crawl, which begins at Red Hill Books and makes stop in venues along Cortland Avenue, all to the music of jazz-pop artist Michael Groh and short film screenings at venues like Progressive Grounds, Bernal Yoga and the Bernal Branch Library.

SF Zine Fest 2011
SF Zine Fest is a free, annual two-day conference for independent and underground publishing, filled with DIY comic artists, literary presses and other exhibitors from all over the West Coast, ranging from photographer collectives like Hamburger Eyes to geek art stores like nerd JERK.

King Tut Festival

Labor Day Symphony Concert in the Park
Now in its 129th season, the 30-member Golden Gate Park Band, all clad in their signature bright, red suits, will be hosting their free, annual Labor Day concert in the park in honor of the American worker.
