Five Free Food Pantry Trucks Vandalized in Bay Area

People in need were left waiting for free food deliveries after food pantry trucks were vandalized this week.

Thanks to SF Gate for letting us know the upsetting news that five Bay Area food pantry trucks were vandalized on Monday preventing them from getting to their location at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Marin City where 60 people waited for groceries.

The fuel tanks of of the trucks had been filled with an “acid-like detergent” that prevent them from being driven properly.

Fortunately food pantry workers were able to find backup rental trucks to stick with the rest of the scheduled deliveries. As of August 5th SF Gate reports there are no leads as to who is responsible for the vandalism.
