The “good” news is that the LNU Lightning Complex fire (Napa/Sonoma/Solano) is now 92% contained, the SCU fire (Contra Costa/Alameda/Santa Clara) is 96% contained and the CZU fire (San Mateo/Santa Cruz) is 83% contained.
The bad news is that the Creek Fire in Fresno County rages on with 0% containment and the Oak Fire in Mendocino has a 10% containment.
Oh, and day has turned to night and the sky is a dark orange all over the Bay Area.
Compared to last year, California has seen over 2,650 more fires and a nearly 2000% increase in the acres burned year-to-date (January 1 – September 7), across all jurisdictions. pic.twitter.com/hv7LmbI5AD
