About Chris Powell
2020 was a very busy year for Chris “Comedian CP” Powell, starring in the CBS pilot History of Them and wrapping Ole Bud’s Anu Football Weekly, a pilot he starred in and created for Adult Swim. He also recurred as “Ned” on the critically acclaimed Comedy Central series Detroiters. 2021 is starting off to a rather busy start as well, CP is currently in development with Amazon studios on his latest animated project Oaklandia alongside Snoop Dogg and Vince Vaughan. CP is also in development on a feature for Dreamworks in which he will write and produce, slated for an early 2022 release.
Prior to the entertainment business, CP was a rising advertising executive in Detroit. Since arriving in Los Angeles, CP has recurred on Empire, performed on All Def Comedy HBO, created and starred in and created the TBS pilot The D, and hosted the MTV2 series World Star TV as well as appearing on Trutv LaffMob Lafftracks and All Def Digital’s critically acclaimed Roast Me franchise.
