BHOC offers free screenings in a neighborhood setting, showcasing a variety of locally produced films by seasoned and well-known filmmakers, as well as promising new ones. Small-venue screenings around Bernal Hill provide a variety of opportunities to see provocative local filmmaking. Bernal Star is the venue for BHOC Pop-Up 2, with films co-presented by Citizen Film.
One of Cortland Avenue’s iconic restuarant, bakery and wine bar, Bernal Star plays host to the second pop-up screening on Thurday, October 14 at 7:00pm. Co-presenter Citizen Film will feature a line-up of shorts showcasing a list of mini-docs and narratives — created with the goal of engaging audience with culture and community.
Two screenings—one at 7:00pm and a second screening at 8:30pm. You choose. Limited capacity. Reservations required but walk-ups welcome 10 minutes before each start time.
