BART’s “Fleet of the Future” Delayed Until Spring 2023

Thanks to KTVU for sharing the news that BART’s “Fleet of the Future,” is looking like it’s going to be coming well into the future.
Like many other industries, unfortunately, the project suffered numerous delays due to technical issues and COVID. BART’s 775 car “Fleet of the Future” was expected to be in operation by mid-2022, but now it’s pushed back until the spring of 2023 due to shortages and delays at the port.
Not only will the fleet be coming later, but the budget has also ballooned due to the delays.
