This weekend, Tactus SF explores the human experience of transformation — how we face the inevitability of change and grow through into new life. The music of our program echoes this. Pieces by Josquin, Massaino, and de Rore express the grief. Pieces by Gesualdo, Allegri, and Striggio explore the process of transformation. Pieces by Palestrina, Lasso, and Tallis herald our new birth. The concert will also feature instrumental music by guest artists Mane Musica.

Tactus (San Francisco) is an early music community chamber chorus dedicated to bringing Renaissance polyphony to audiences in the San Francisco Bay Area. We aim to bring together musicians of diverse identities, ages, and experience to create a musical melting pot of energy and ideas. Visit www.tactus-sf.org for more information.
Free-will donation requested. Proof of vaccination and masks required for entry. The concert will last about an hour with no intermission, followed by an outdoor reception. This concert was made possible by the fiscal sponsorship of the San Francisco Early Music Society, of which Tactus SF is an affiliate.
