2022 World Cup Village & Watch Parties (SF)

This November and December, San Francisco’s downtown comes alive with soccer. Street Soccer USA and the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department are hosting a free World Cup Village – combining public viewing parties alongside food, entertainment, and family-friendly activities – for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The month-long World Cup programming kicks off on November 21 and concludes with the final match on December 18, live-streamed and open to the public in iconic San Francisco locations including Civic Center Plaza, The Crossing at East Cut, Union Square Plaza, and JFK Promenade in Golden Gate Park.
The festivities kick off on Monday, November 21, with an opening celebration hosted at The Crossing at East Cut beginning at 8AM, and offering complementary programming, entertainment, and replays throughout the day.

The World Cup Village, spearheaded by leading sports and events non-profit Street Soccer USA, is designed to bring San Francisco together, spotlighting downtown locations as accessible and inclusive spaces to celebrate community, promote civic pride and share in the passion and diversity of the world’s largest sporting event.
Past showings of the Olympics, FIFA Men’s and Women’s World Cup Soccer, Warriors basketball and Giants baseball in Civic Center have attracted thousands of fans all cheering together with a wonderful sense of community.
World Cup Village Central Hub at The Crossing
San Francisco’s newest outdoor venue The Crossing at East Cut will be the central hub of the World Cup village with daily themed happy hours, match highlights and re-broadcasts, food and music to celebrate the entire month of the World Cup.
In addition this year, Union Square Plaza will host the much anticipated USA vs England match on Black Friday. The World Cup Finals will take place in Golden Gate Park.
