Schroeder’s 130th Birthday Celebration + German Beer Party (SF)

Alles Liebe! Schroeder’s is commemorating its 130th anniversary all year long and will be throwing an official birthday celebration on Friday, June 9. From 3:00 to 10:00pm, enjoy festival-style German fare, taste the Schroeder’s 130th Anniversary German Pilsner created by East Brother Beer Company, live music from Jazz Mafia, beats by DJ Jerry Ross, giveaways galore, and of course, the costumes and games that the historic Bavarian beer hall is known and loved for!

Be sure to don your dirndl and lederhosen because costumes are encouraged! The first 130 people through the door will receive a complimentary boot ready to be filled with Schroeder’s 130th Anniversary German Pilsner. East Brother Beer Company will be providing gift bags filled with schwag and Trumer Pils will be etching personalized glasses on a first come first serve basis for lucky partygoers (while supplies last for giveaways).

Beverage highlights include some of our favorite beers and cocktails featuring Schroeder’s 130 Anniversary German Pilsner and the Schroeder’s Mule: jägermeister, ginger beer, lime. Enjoy food fare ($15) like the Giant Bavarian Pretzel with bourbon mustard and beer cheese; Sausage in a Pretzel Bun: choice of bratwurst, chicken apple, or Beyond bratwurst topped with sauerkraut; Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich: spicy cabbage slaw, horseradish aioli, provolone on a torpedo roll; Kartoffel Tots with caraway sea salt; Housemade Pork Frankfurter Corndog; and Appelflap, a spiced apple in puff pastry. From 3:00 to 5:00 pm, enjoy free German Meatballs – it’s a Schroeder’s tradition!

Jazz Mafia will be performing live with an eclectic mix of funk, jazz, hip-hop, groove, soul, and electronic sounds, and DJ Jerry Ross will bring the house down with funky beats.

Entertainment includes classic beer hall games like chugging and stein-holding, games like Giant Connect 4, and giveaways of commemorative glasses for the best costumes with prizes awarded to the winners. Other fun surprises are in store, so come out and party like it’s 1893!
