Grab your skates and prepare for a new Downtown Berkeley experience as the DBA transforms Shattuck Avenue between University Ave. and Allston Way into a roller skater’s paradise.
This FREE event welcomes roller-skaters and rollerbladers of all ages and skill levels. The Roller Boogie event will take advantage of some of the newest and freshest paved portions of Shattuck Avenue after the Residence Inn opened last year.

Attendees bring their roller skates or rollerblades and spend the day strutting their stuff in three zones.
*Downtown Dance Zone: For those who want to get down.
*Chill Zone: If you’re new to skating, sign up for lessons
provided by Matthew Quirk, a certified skate instructor.
*The Loop For those who like to cruise roller rink style!
Music will be provided all afternoon from two separate stages featuring Mixologist DJs Guru G & DJ O’Aces; there will be a vendor village in the BART Plaza where you can shop local artists and makers, and we’ll have tacos centrally located to keep your skating energy maxed.
