Giants Fans Get New Ballpark Ferry to Oracle Park From Peninsula
Thanks to the Daily Journal for sharing that Giants fans will soon have a brand new way to get to Oracle Park.
A new ballpark ferry line will shuttle fans from Redwood City out of the Port of Redwood City as a pilot program. The ferry will run five round trips for Sunday afternoon home games at Oracle Park. The proposed service is scheduled to operate on July 14, July 28, August 11, September 1, and September 15.
The ferry ride takes about an hour each way and will be priced similarly to the Vallejo ballpark ferry. A one-way fare will be $18.75 for adults, and discount fares will be $14 each way for youth, senior and disabled passengers. Tickets will go on sale in June.
The Port of Redwood City hopes to establish a permanent terminal.
Interested in taking the ferry to games, but not located in the Peninsula? The San Francisco Bay Ferry currently offers ferries during baseball season from Vallejo, and Oakland & Alameda. Golden Gate Ferry offers ballpark service from Larkspur.
