Come one, come all! It is the month to commemorate the GRRREAAT Caeasar Augustus (that’s August for you pleebs)!
Are you someone who yearns for the good old days of the Roman Empire (see: they could build the Pantheon in 2 years, but how many decades does it take SF to build one apartment building)? Or are you just looking for something fun to do where you can meet new friends and don’t have to do your LinkedIn elevator pitch– or worse, hear someone else’s– for the >10th time?
For an afternoon of something different from yet another networking happy hour, join a centuria (that’s Latin for 100) of your fellow SF neighbors in our budget recreation of Roman gladiator games! We will have battles (dw no blood will be spilled; we’re using pool noodles) and betting (disclaimer: no real $$ will be at stake, pls don’t come after us for a license pls).
The ultimate winner of the battles and the richest bettor on these games will form our GRRREAAT Triumvirate with Caesar!
*Toga optional, but will get you bonus tokens to bet on your favorite gladiators!
What is this event? We’re not sure!
It’s hosted by inventXYZ which says “Making it easy to invent the future across any industry from agriculture to medicine to film to construction and everything in between.” – so this event could be awesome, or they could kidnap you and sell your body parts on the black market.
