Fremont might be on its way to becoming your new go-to foodie destination. A massive 100,000-square-foot H Mart is planned for Pacific Commons Shopping Center near the intersection of Bunche Drive and I-880, and it’s expected to be the largest H Mart in the entire country. Construction is now slated to begin in late 2026, and the project is being described as the largest investment in H Mart’s history.

This won’t just be a place to grab scallions and go. The Fremont store will debut H Mart’s brand-new multi-level prototype, complete with a first-ever food hall featuring fast-casual stalls, sit-down restaurants, a bar, and entertainment elements. Translation: come for groceries, stay for dinner, accidentally make it your whole evening.

If you’ve been to H Mart before, you already get the hype. It’s become a go-to for Korean barbecue-ready meats, live seafood, banchan, specialty snacks, and bakery items that somehow make you buy six pastries when you only planned on one. For everyone else, expect weekend crowds at Pacific Commons to level up once this finally opens.
