Luke Goebel will read from and talk about his latest novel Kill Dick, published by Red Hen Press.
About the Author: Luke Goebel is a celebrated author and screenwriter (co-writer of the film Eileen) known for his raw, innovative storytelling. His debut, Fourteen Stories, None of Them Are Yours, won the Ronald Sukenick/American Book Review Innovative Fiction Prize.
About the book: Released on April 14, 2026, Kill Dick is a dark, satirical literary thriller that serves as a “sunshine noir” dissection of modern Los Angeles.
Critics have described the book as a “fever dream” and “hypnotic,” praising Goebel’s sharp, punchy prose. Ottessa Moshfegh famously remarked on its intensity, and Foreword Reviews noted how it “skewers contemporary literary seriousness even as it participates in it.”
