“Lakeside Chill” Summer Day Party at Lake Merritt (Oakland)

We’re inviting Black and Brown women in The Bay to join us out in the wild at our Lakeside Chill PlayDates at Lake Merritt in Oakland.

This summer, we’re creating a space you can look forward to coming back to where you can kick off your shoes, relax your feet, and play a few games to a vibey beat.

There’s no agenda. Just dedicated time and space for you to put down your phone, wind down the week, make a new friend, or simply bask in the longer days and late sunsets of summer. You’re welcome to come and play games or just sit and chat. Bring a book or even take a nap. This is about giving ourselves permission to be joyfully slow and boldly well. We’re making it easy. Just show up.

About PopUp PlayDate:

Playdates aren’t just for kids anymore. Adding intentional play to your week, PopUp PlayDate is a gathering space that helps Black and brown womxn break up the routine of “adulting” responsibilities with fun and fellowship.

Relieve stress and connect with your inner joy through a rotating variety of games, crafts, and activities. PopUp PlayDate is a sacred space for us to let our hair down and feel good through creativity, self-discovery, and connection. While you never know what each PlayDate holds, you can always expect to cultivate your joy.
