Ajyal is a newly formed group of prominent Bay Area Arab and American musicians who share a passion for Arabic music. The Arabic word ajyal means “generations.” The group takes this name to represent its mission of preserving and performing different genres and eras of Arabic listening and dancing music. Ajyal’s repertoire includes popular songs, as well as lesser known songs, from different parts of the Arabic world.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary season The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival for 2010 features 100 events, including classical and jazz concerts, opera, international music events, theater, dance, children and family programs, visual art exhibits, educational programs and cultural events.
