Activate McCoppin: Month-Long Block Party | SF

During the month of November 2013, Activate McCoppin is temporarily transforming the McCoppin Hub, at the intersection of Valencia and McCoppin Streets from a parking lot into a community hub.

McCoppin Hub is hosting a variety of events and art installations in an effort to offer opportunities for communities to come together, connect, share, collaborate, and have fun. This project will help determine what programming works in the McCoppin Hub prior to the improvement project slated to begin in 2014.

Want to host your own event? Come teach a class on basket weaving, play some bluegrass, or host a panel discussion. The possibilities are endless.

"The Rock" | Activate McCoppin: Month-Long Block Party | SF

Each Friday night in November, Activate McCoppin is screening a movie that was filmed in San Francisco.

Join them at 6:30 pm on November 29, 2013 to watch The Rock.

A mild-mannered chemist and an ex-con must lead the counterstrike when a rogue group of military men, led by a renegade general, threaten a nerve gas attack from Alcatraz against San Francisco.

BYO blanket and snacks. They will provide the projected movie and chairs.

Please note, this event is outdoors; it will likely cancel if there’s rain. Dress warmly.
