Sean Keane | CANCELED: “Nightlife on Mars” Comedy Night | SF

March 6 Lineup:

Sean Keane – Sean is a comedian and writer who performs at all the finest clubs and colleges in the SF Bay Area, and some of the mediocre ones, too. His sports writing appears all over the internet. He’s a three-time Iron Comic champion, a three-time performer at SF Sketchfest, and won the 2008 Twisted Biscuit competition. He’s contributed to McSweeney’s Internet Tendency, ESPN the Magazine, and the “Fantasia In Best Show Minor” DVD.

Shanti Charan – Shanti Charan’s bubbly personality and contagious smile lure in audiences and her comedic abilities keeps them laughing. She is a fast-rising fresh face in the Bay Area comedy scene. Her ability to formulate quick connections makes it easy for her to communicate with diverse audiences. She won 1st place in the 2011 Rooster T Feather’s Comedy Competition and participated in the 2011 San Francisco International Comedy Competition where she advanced to the semi-finals. Charan was recently awarded SF Weekly’s 2012 Best Stand-Up on the Way Up. SF Weekly says Charan’s writing “is clever and confident beyond her years.”

Chris Barylick – Standing at 6’3″ and 160 amazing, squirrel-fighting pounds, Chris Barylick is a stand up comic, the founder of the Geek Comedy Tour (“Comedy that knows Han shot first”), creator of the “Through The Wash” web site (wherein gadgets are reviewed as to how well they survive the washer and dryer cycles), noted bar quiz host, avid gamer and former pet rat owner. A frigging nerd at heart, Chris combines an energetic mix of pop culture, everyday humor, the absurd and tech/nerd triviata to make fun of the things closest to him. He has performed at venues throughout D.C., Maryland, California, New York, Virginia, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, North Carolina, on Sirius satellite radio and has hosted for comedians such as Joe Recca, Kevin Lee, Adam Dodd, Erin Jackson and Brent Weinbach.

Susan Maletta – Susan has appeared on Nick at Nite’s America’s Funniest Mom, ComedyTimeTV.com., and was featured in the documentary film, “Comedy ’Aint for the Money.” Susan was also co-host of the uncensored comedy talk radio show “The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta”. Susan won 1st place in Oakland’s Funniest Comedy Competition in 2009, was Runner Up in last year’s (2012) Rooster T. Feathers Comedy Competition (2nd place), and has opened for rap artists such as E-40. Susan has toured with the following prestigious troupes: Women Who Kick Comedy Butt, Street Legal Comedy, SUGANASTY, and the Cougars of Comedy. She has also opened for the 3 Blonde Moms, Michael Colyar “The King of Venice Beach”, and The Marijuana-Logues.

Zach Sims – Born in New Orleans, Zach began performing stand-up at the ripe age of sixteen. Shortly after that, he frenched his first girl. The successes just rolled from there as he moved to New York and performed in such venues as The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre as well as festivals like The DC Comedy Festival and the Hell Yes Fest. A Hunter College Alumnus, Zach looks forward to the day he can grow a real solid beard.

Plus Adrian McNair, Erick Krasner and more
