The San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department and Reboot host a hike for the National Day of Unplugging, in conjunction with Healthy Parks Healthy People.
You’re encouraged to unplug for a day and unwind, relax, reflect, get outdoors, and connect with loved ones. Gather at the Lake Merced Boathouse for a guided nature walk around Lake Merced.
This loop trail includes beautiful views of San Francisco’s native wetlands providing opportunities to see bird species and native plants.
Before the walk begins, participants will be given an NDU Cell Phone Sleeping Bag in which to place their digital devices, thus “unplugging” and experiencing nature free of digital distractions.
