Bring the whole family and join in to celebrate the 2019 Chinese New Year on Saturday, February 9th at Chinatown on Grant and Jackson for a special new event “Choy Sun Doe Day.”
2019 Chinese New Year “Choy Sun Doe Day”
Saturday, February 9, 2019 | 10 am to 4 pm

FREEWho is Choy Sun? He’s the God of Wealth and who wouldn’t want to welcome a deity like that? He blesses all with much prosperity and an abundance of wealth.
There will be performances, food, a petting zoo and one hundred choy suns milling around passing out red envelopes (to kiddies only, sorry adult people) filled with a sweet treat and possibly a voucher for a toy or money of course.
Choy Suns will flood the area to sprinkle red envelopes at 12:28 pm. Be there and get blessed.
