Event Details

The San Francisco History Center invites you to a talk by Grant Ute, author and historian, on transportation to the Exposition. The Panama-Pacific International Exposition celebrated the emergence of San Francisco from the Devastation of the 1906 Earthquake and Fire, launching it as the most modern city in the world – including transportation. Mr. Ute will share the details on ferry travel to San Francisco, travel to the Expo and within the Exposition grounds.

Grant Ute is the author of San Francisco Municipal Railway, Alameda by Rail, and San Francisco’s Market Street Railway.
