Event Details

Local reporter Merritt Watts spent a year interviewing people about their first jobs to compile First Jobs, a book of oral histories on the subject that’s being published by Picador on 4/28 and will be featured on NPR’s American Marketplace. Come celebrate this coming-of-age moment at Alley Cat Books with readings, music and a costume contest

That’s right, you can come dressed as your first job for the chance to win a prize. So, dust off that ice cream scoop/ waitress apron/ grave-digging shovel (true story) and come party like you just got off your first shift.
