Event Details

An heir to John Cassavetes, Rob Nilsson is a Cannes and Sundance winner. The library will be screening his films for the whole month of August.

What Happened Here?: This is Nilsson’s personal essay in the form of a road movie centered around Leon Trotsky’s home town erased from popular memory. It takes teh filmmaker to the Golan Heights to meet with Mikhael Derenkovski, the last survivor of Koloniya Gromokley, destroyed by the Nazis. (2012, 1hr, 34min)
