The Golden Gate Park Band presents its 142nd season in Golden Gate Park’s music concourse. That’s right, this 30-piece symphony has been playing free concerts in Golden Gate Park since 1882.

There’s a lot of free live music in San Francisco but Golden Gate Park Band has been doing it for possibly longer than anyone else.

In its 132nd season, the 30-member band, all clad in their bright red suits, are giving free concerts in Golden Gate Park every Sunday from April through October.
