SF Fire Department 150th Anniversary Parade & Historical Exhibition | Fisherman’s Wharf
Celebrate 150 years of emergency response and firefighting in San Francisco with the brave men and women of the SF Fire Department.
Historic apparatus and vehicles will be on display at Fisherman’s Wharf on the waterfront between Pier 39 and Pier 45. All events on September 24th and 25th are free and open to the public.

Saturday, September 24th
10 am – 150th Anniversary Grand Parade. The parade reviewing stand will be at Pier 43. There will be free to the public bleacher seating offered on a first come, first serve basis.
Noon – Opening Ceremony. The SFFD 65ft Ladder Team will provide a live ladder demonstration at Pier 43 on our event course.
The day continues with live demonstrations of an 1890 1st alarm building rescue (with all horse drawn apparatus), a 1910 1st alarm response (with all horse drawn apparatus), and a 1930 1st alarm motorized pumping response evolution.
Sunday, September 25th
10 am to 3 pm: On the event course on the Little Embarcadero in from of Pier 43. See 1895 steam pumping engines in action and horse drawn apparatus galore as the San Francisco Fire Department flashes back to gone-days making history come to life. Opposite the Reviewing Stand at Pier 43 are free bleacher seating available on a first come, first served basis.
