BART | 2025

BART will run a Sunday schedule for 4th of July 2025 with extra trains for fireworks

On Friday, July 4th, 2025, BART will be running a Sunday schedule (8am-midnight). We will run five-line service until 8pm and then three-line service after 8pm.

Five-line service means all lines will be running including the Green and Red lines which provide direct service into San Francisco. Extra trains may be added to help people get home from fireworks.

Parking will be free at all BART stations, except Milpitas and Berryessa/North San Jose stations, which has parking lots operated by VTA.

When is the last BART from San Francisco after the fireworks?

Other than saying generically there may be “extra trains” for fireworks, BART hasn’t been specific. But it looks like they’ll be ending service around midnight.

According to BART they are running a Sunday service, so if that’s the case:

  • The last eastbound trains to Antioch will leave Embarcadero at 11:59p, 12:16a and 12:31a. (see Yellow/Sunday PDF)
  • The last eastbound trains to Dublin/Pleasanton will leave Embarcadero at 11:49p, 12:09a and 12:29a (See Blue/Sunday PDF)
  • The last southbound trains to Daly City will leave Embarcadero at 11:49p, 12:09a and 12:29a (See Blue/Sunday PDF)

Free Cab Rides Home | 2025

There used to be great free cab rides home deals all over the Bay Area, but now it’s only limited to the first 60 people thanks to Silva Injury Law in Turlok, but is valid for people in the San Francisco “metro area” .

Rides must be taken between 5pm and 10am the next morning for one way rides to a safe destination with a maximum of $25 and you’ll need to mail your copy of receipt asap (with 10 business days) and be one of the first 60 people since they will process them the order they receive proof in the mail. See the full details.

Parking | 2025

  • Enforced – Parking meters, posted time limit zones and seven day street sweeping will be enforced citywide on the holiday. We know this sucks.
  • Not Enforced – Commuter tow away, residential parking permits and Monday-Friday daytime street sweeping will not be enforced.
