California Academy of Sciences “Neighborhood Free Days” | 2011

For the weekend of Sept 23-25, 2011, the California Academy of Sciences offers free admission to residents of Cole Valley, Haight, Glen Park, St. Francis Wood, Lake Merced.

San Francisco residents will again have the opportunity to visit the California Academy of Sciences free of charge during Neighborhood Free Days.

Each neighborhood, defined by zip codes, will have opportunities to visit the Academy for free over a three-day weekend (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) in the spring, and again in the fall.

The second series of weekends for 2011 runs through November 6, 2011.

The Rules: Each visiting adult must show a valid photo ID with proof of residency. The following items or combinations are acceptable: A driver’s license or state ID card; Photo ID plus postmarked envelope, postcard, or magazine label with name and date; Photo ID plus utility bill (gas/electric/cable), bank statement, or letter from a government agency with name and home address (not a P.O. Box). Only residents from the zip codes invited on the designated dates will be admitted free of charge.
