Here’s a round-up of fun and fabulous February festivals and street fairs including festive Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day events you can look forward to this February 2024.

2024 San Francisco Chinese New Year Flower Market Fair

February 3-4, 2024 – FREE – Celebrate the Lunar New Year in San Francisco’s Chinatown Flower Market Fair for a shopper’s paradise with over 120 booths plus performances of traditional Chinese magicians, acrobats, folk dancers and opera.

2024 White Elephant Sale in a 90,000+ Sq Ft. Warehouse 

January 31 – March 3, 2024 (Select Dates) – $5 or FREE (depending on date) –  The White Elephant Sale is Northern California’s oldest and largest rummage sale, featuring almost 20 departments in a warehouse nearly twice the size of a football field, in benefit of the Oakland Museum of California.

Korea’s Lunar New Year Fest in SF

February 9, 2024 – 6p at Korean Center, Inc. – Join us in celebrating Seollal, or Korea’s Lunar New Year, with our new year celebration event! You’ll be able to participate in traditional Seollal activities (including trying on a hanbok and eating delicious Korean food) and learn more about traditional customs of this important holiday.

2024 North Beach Mardi Gras Parade

February 10, 2024 – The fun starts at Tupelo at 1:30pm – Free to watch the parade – Get out your handkerchiefs and join Tupelo and North Star for their 11th Annual Mardi Gras 2nd Line March. Featured music by MJ’s Brass Boppers Brass Band, an authentic New Orleans singing and swinging Second Line brass band fusing traditional NOLA standards, funk, jazz, modern pop & more with a second line twist.

2024 “The Sweetie Pie Fair” Valentines Craft Fair & Market

February 10, 2024 – 11a-3p – Bathing Culture -A valentines market to 18-20 of our favorite makers and artists. Flash tattoos by @pretty_heavy, food from @cochinita, pop up sauna + lounge by @sundropsauna + more!

World Naked Bike Ride Through SF

February 10, 2024 – Meet at Rincon Park – FREE – Go as “bare as you dare” for a unique “Lover’s Ride” through San Francisco.

SF’s “Lovers Lane” Valentine’s Block Party

February 10, 2024 – Balmy Alley – FREE – SF’s Balmy Alley transforms into Lovers Lane for a Valentine’s Block Party.

2024 Sunset Lunar New Year Festival

February 11, 2024 – Sunset Mercantile (Outer Sunset) – 9a – 2p – Join Sunset Mercantile on February 11th as we celebrate Lunar New Year in collaboration with the Sunset Chinese Cultural District! With special activities, music, red envelopes, performances and arts & crafts!

SF’s Mardi Gras & Fat Tuesday Parade & Festival in the Fillmore

February 13, 2024 – Fillmore Center Plaza – FREE – Fat Tuesday in the Fillmore returns to San Francisco with a free blues concert. Celebrating Fat Tuesday in the Fillmore with great blues, Zydeco Music, a second line processional, creative costumes, good food and colorful beads, the Village Project will host this year’s annual Mardi Gras, San Francisco Style.

SF’s 2024 “Mardi Gras Crawl” Through the Mission + Festival

February 13, 2024 – All Over the Mission – FREE – Come meet your neighbors and make new friends at our 2024 Carnaval San Francisco Mardi Gras Celebration in several Mission District venues. Enjoy live samba drummers, dance performances, and lively music from soca to cumbia and rumba. Wear your costumes, masks & beads!

The Great San Francisco Valentine’s Day Pillow Fight

February 14, 2024 – Embarcadero Plaza – FREE – Feathers fly at this fun, unofficial flash-mob type event which typically takes place annually on Valentine’s Day. The event is always tentative – there could be 1,000 people; there could be zero people. Show up with a pillow in hand, and get ready for a pillow fight.

“TreasureFest” on Treasure Island

February 24-25, 2024 – Not Free (Ticket starts $10) – At TreasureFest you can shop from 300+ vintage & antique curators, crafts & makers, independent designers & artists. Enjoy 35+ top-rated food trucks and eateries, and try a variety of local libations. Listen to live music, and participate in other games & entertainment.

2024 Chinese New Year Parade

February 24, 2024 – FREE – Named one of the world’s top ten parades, the Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco is the largest celebration of its kind outside of Asia. 2024’s Parade Grand Marshall will be Awkwafina, an award-winning actress, comedienne and rapper.
