‘The Last Escape’ Book Signing on Alcatraz Island

Authors Ken Widner and Mike Lynch will return to the Rock for a three-day book signing event on Alcatraz Island, spotlighting their bestselling book “Alcatraz: The Last Escape.” The event brings the mystery full circle as Widner, nephew of escapees John and Clarence Anglin, and co-author Lynch share new insights, artifacts, and stunning revelations about the legendary 1962 prison break.

Their book unveils dramatic new information, including the escapees’ connection to mob boss Mickey Cohen, a covert flight to Mexico by pilot Fred Brizzi, and rare photographs that rewrite the narrative of what really happened after the escape.
