Emmy Award-winning comedian and producer Brian Copeland will present the 5th annual Brian Copeland Presents Comedy in the Plaza™ on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the San Leandro Tech Campus, bringing together a powerhouse lineup of nationally and internationally acclaimed comedians for one of the Bay Area’s most anticipated live events of the summer.

Created and produced by Copeland, Comedy in the Plaza has become a signature community event since its launch in 2019, drawing large crowds and showcasing top-tier comedic talent in an outdoor setting. Now in its fifth year, the show continues to grow in both scale and impact.

This year’s confirmed performers include internationally-renowned comedians Greg Proops (ABC’s “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”), Laurie Kilmartin (Conan, Academy Awards writer), Tom Rhodes (NBC, Comedy Central, performed in more than 60 countries), and Monique Marvez (Comedy Central, Showtime, HBO; creator of the #1 Dry Bar Comedy Special of 2024 with hundreds of millions of views worldwide).

Additional comedians will be announced in the coming weeks.

Hosted by Brian Copeland, the event brings together talent from San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York for a one-night-only outdoor comedy experience designed to bring the community together through laughter.

In addition to world-class entertainment, this year’s event includes a meaningful community partnership with the Davis Street Family Resource Center. Sponsorship support will provide 100 backpacks and 100 pairs of school shoes for San Leandro children in need, making the event both a major cultural happening and a direct investment in local families.
