Bolinas vs. Stinson Beach Annual Tug of War Battle | 2025

The Briones Lions Club’s annual Fourth of July celebration in Bolinas begins with a tug-of-war between Bolinas and Stinson Beach men’s and women’s teams starting at 9 a.m. at the channel. A Lions Club barbecue starts at 10 a.m. at the downtown park, followed by the parade at 11 a.m. At noon, the West Marin Grateful Dead Appreciation Society Band plays a balcony show at Smiley’s Saloon. Note: All downtown Bolinas streets will be closed to cars from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with $10 parking available at Mesa Park and a shuttle to downtown every 15 minutes.

The annual Inverness Fourth of July footraces begin at 10 a.m. at the firehouse. Featuring races by age, starting with the youngest.

The annual Woodacre Fourth of July parade starts at noon at the Woodacre Improvement Club, followed by a Country Fun Day at the Dickson Ranch. Featuring barbecue, beer, wine, children’s games and pony rides, a flea market, horse demonstrations and live music by the Sky Blue Band.

The second annual Lions Club Independence Day Pickleball Challenge takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. at the downtown Bolinas tennis court. For Bolinas and Stinson players only. Email kmdibblee@gmail.com to sign up.
