Bolinas vs. Stinson Beach Annual 4th of July Tug of War, Parade & “BOLYMPICS” | 2026

One of the Bay Area’s most charming small-town Fourth of July celebrations is centered around quirky local traditions rather than fireworks, with the famous tug-of-war, parade, beach games, BBQ, and the always-entertaining BOLYMPICS.

2026 Schedule

• 9:00 AM – Annual Bolinas vs. Stinson Beach Tug-of-War at the channel
• 10:00 AM – Briones Lions Club & Coast Café BBQ in the downtown park
• 11:00 AM – Fourth of July Parade (featuring Lissie Comer singing America the Beautiful)
• 12:00 PM – Soul Ska live on the balcony at Smiley’s Saloon
• 1:00 PM – BOLYMPICS begin:
  • Skipping race
  • Beach games
  • 3rd Annual Pickleball Tournament
• 3:00 PM – Pie Baking Contest at St. Aidan’s Church

Parking & Road Closures

• Downtown roads are closed to vehicles from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• No vehicle access from 10:30 AM–12:30 PM during the parade.
• $10 parking is available at Mesa Park.
• A free shuttle runs between Mesa Park and downtown every 15 minutes.
