SF’s “House of Prime Rib” is Back for Indoor Dining (Again)
Thanks to SF Gate and SFist for letting us know that House of Prime Rib has finally reopened (again) now that indoor dining is back in San Francisco.
The cult classic restaurant on Van Ness originally reopened in October after an initial 6-month closure and immediately had 3,000+ reservations, but was forced to shutter in November when indoor dining was banned again.
So they’re trying it again in March and so far reservations appear to be booked 4 months out. (The closest reservation we could find on Open Table when we tried on March 7th was for July 11th).

Open Wed-Sun 4:00pm – 8:00pm for dinner.

But more spots may open very soon.
Currently San Francisco is in the red tier and indoor dining is limited to 25% capacity. SFist reports that House of Prime Rib has a max capacity of 280, so can currently seat 70 at a time.

Unless the state’s tier rules change, San Francisco is expected to join the “orange tier” within the next week or two which would allow indoor dining capacity to increase to 50%. When that happens, it’s expected for House of Prime Rib to increase their capacity to 140 and open up more reservation spots. But reservations go fast, so when this happens you’ll likely need to click quickly.
