Bay Area’s Worst Times to Drive Over Thanksgiving Weekend
Thanks to SF Gate for sharing the worst times for Bay Area drivers to hit the road over Thanksgiving weekend.
INRIX, in collaboration with AAA, predicts Thanksgiving travel to rebound almost to pre-pandemic levels. Airports and roads may seem jam-packed this year as AAA predicts 53.4 million people to travel for the Thanksgiving holiday, up 13% from 2020.
In the San Francisco Bay Area, peak travel will likely occur on Wednesday from 4-6 pm, with the worst traffic expected on I-80 E, I-580 to San Pablo Dam Rd. Experts predict traffic will be 278% above normal at this particularly bad corridor.
