39th Annual Berkeley Juneteenth Festival (2026)

One of the East Bay’s biggest Juneteenth celebrations returns to the streets of South Berkeley for a full day festival stretching across the Alcatraz–Adeline corridor. The annual Berkeley Juneteenth Festival transforms five blocks into a vibrant outdoor celebration of Black culture, freedom, and community with live music, food vendors, art, and family activities.

Expect multiple stages running all day with live bands, African drumming, spoken word, fashion showcases, and community performers. The festival also features a large marketplace of local vendors, a dedicated kids’ area, and plenty of food booths highlighting local and Black-owned businesses.

This is very much a neighborhood street-festival vibe: come ready to wander, eat, dance, and spend the day immersed in music and community energy.

Getting there: Easy access via BART; Ashby Station is the closest stop, with a short walk south to the festival corridor.
