Join Kitchener Oakland for a pop-up market night of food made locally with quality ingredients and drinks for all ages.

Admission is free, most foods are $5 and under, and there is often free wine tasting and $2 beers (check each event for details).

Kitchener Oakland is a commercial kitchen for startup food businesses to cook and grow from fledging to flight in a creative, low-risk environment. They showcase the food through pop-up markets where artisans connect with the community which supports them.

Join Kitchener Oakland for a pop-up market night of fast food made with quality ingredients, a dose of childhood nostalgia, and drinks for all ages from 6-9 pm on July 9, 2013.

There will be free wine tasting, $2 beers, and most foods are $5 and under. Admission is free.

Featured Food Artisans:

• A.D.D. (Alternative Delectable Delights) – Vegan organic chocolates and chai
• Barbarian Gourmet – Cheddar fried chicken, collard greens, vegan corn salad, and hibiscus cooler
• Bump City Bakery – Bourbon cherry handpies and vegan nutty date cookies
• The Cook and Her Farmer – Tomales Bay oysters, pickles, and vegan farmer’s fries
• Javi’s Cooking – Argentine empanadas and alfajores
• Ruby Red Kitchen – Vegan pasta rustica and vegan apricot bars
• Sabor Brasil – Brazilian cheese rolls (gruyere and blue cheese)
• The Stroopie Gourmet – Dutch stroopwafels and stroopie fries dipped in caramel sauce

The Happy Meal boxes have been designed by artists at Creative Growth Art Center, Oakland, an art program that empowers developmentally, mentally, and physically disabled adults by giving them a place to make art and interact with the world.
